Intern Positions

Sidebar Image

Eurofins Digital Testing have openings for two summer placements for engineering or computer science students at our Bristol Headquarters.

Our products are used by some of the major electronics companies world-wide like Sony, Samsung and LG, and we are also working with major technologies like HbbTV, Dolby and DLNA - either creating products or providing services. We also work on major projects with some of the world’s broadcasters as they roll out the latest Digital TV channels.

For both positions specific engineering projects are to be agreed at the start of the placements with the aim of enhancing one of our existing products or services, or to help create a completely new offering in an emerging technology. To provide some context of what this could be, a recent example is a framework to test smart TV applications which was developed by an intern and is now being developed into a commercial offering.

In both positions, you will be exposed to agile engineering methodologies including test driven development and continuous integration techniques for high quality dynamic software engineering. Depending on the agreed assignment, you may also have the opportunity to work with both our UK and Hong Kong engineering teams.

You’ll be working with web and open source software tools like python, Django, Javascript, HTML, CSS, FFmpeg, Apache web server and media formats like MPEG-x, H.26x, AAC, AC-3.

Our environment is open and collaborative, you’ll be contributing to the daily stand-up meetings and we’ll be actively seeking your input and ideas. We have a table tennis table and an Xbox One which are well used at lunchtime along with a chess ladder which many in the company take part in. We also have occasional breakfast bike rides.

Each position will be two to three months duration.
